    This is not a feminist film. Much like his other films Dogtooth, Killing of the Sacred Deer, Lobster etc, Lanthimos explores the inevitable violation of isolation and all the interesting things that happen on that horizon. It’s a disservice to the film to reduce its message to political feminism. But even that honestly takes it a little too seriously, it’s a pretty and goofy little genre allegory that’s fun and re-watchable.
