  I've almost certainly watched this film more times than any other. It's an almost perfect gay romance. The central conflict is real enough to be compelling without leaning on things that the audience might find traumatic. When the pressures of that conflict cause Zach to act poorly, other characters manage to be understanding while still insisting that he treat them with respect. Zach and Shaun manage to develop a strong connection that allows the audience to see what they like…
