  Really STIMULATING movie that seamlessly blends comedy and serious topics. Detectives were goofy as hell and I liked how they were all kinda crazy to some degree instead of doing that trope where one is crazy and the other is sane, ie. good cop/bad cop. I think the movie is about how we want to believe what's convenient to believe, but the detectives' conscience doesn't allow them to outright ignore evidence.   "Nice because she's rich, you know? Hell, if I had all this money, I would be nice too"

  On my life the best class commentary film I've seen (even though I'm usually really bored by them.) I think it reaches the closest to the truth by humanizing its characters. It depicts the whole class situation as unfortunate more than anything else, instead of portraying it as an inherently predatory one. Nobody's specifically to blame, and the movie's tragedy is just as senseless and abrupt as they often are in real life

  I think the thing I love the most about this movie is the setting. A lot of the scenes take place in those neglected, wooded parts of the city that sit behind buildings and basically don't exist to adults. They're pockets of nature between city life and I think they represent the wild, natural youth of children being crushed by the walls of grown up society. Maybe it's not that deep though.
