  vivian is giving me very much white feminist. this movie should’ve gone in depth on how the white approach to feminism isn’t universal and how it effects poc like lucy and claudia. there’s lots of problems with the riot grrrl movement today and in the 90s that were skipped over like the lack of intersectionality in its feminism. 
  it’s an okay movie but i feel like it’s still slightly off the mark, not as great of a depiction of teens as eighth grade, ladybird or booksmart
