    a childhood favorite. i grew up watching the US theatrical cut, so there's nostalgia for the tangerine dream score - but honestly, the european/director's cut is the way to go. jerry goldsmith's score is beautiful and doesn't sound as dated as tangerine dream's. the superior score by goldsmith elevates the material to a timeless dark fantasy classic.
