  The Boy and the Heron 2023

  A much slower and grounded start than any of Miyazaki’s other works, evolves into the most outlandish and surreal, with unbelievably precise animation that made my jaw drop. Studio Ghibli poured their heart out on this one, more so the man himself, where it felt like this is a film about Miyazaki’s world and how he is leaving it.

  Incredible theater watch, lucky to have been able to experience this.

  Vineeth’s heartfelt tribute to the relationship between his dad and Mohanlal. The first half being the art, and the second half being the art given autonomy and space to grow and develop on the emotions driving it. Second halfile pop scenes vechu VSinu ishtamolla padam finance cheythathu is brilliant. And within it all, we get to see Vineeth as a director voicing his opinions on how films are to be handled today (looking at LJP paazhatharangal📢)
