While “Love and Death” had the David E Kelley sheen, a smart script, and an excellent Elizabeth Olsen, this is darker, more internal, and - despite the Justin Timberlake cameo - it’s very good. Jessica Biel and Melanie Lynskey are really fantastic as the two women - neighbours whose friendship becomes Lizzie Borden toxic - going toe-to-toe with jittery energy, resentment, and not always suppressed rage.

No Other Land 2024
“I feel the world will end soon.”
The most important Oscar win in recent memory - or all memory - yet no American distributor will buy it. Harrowing, emotional, essential viewing.

The Lighthouse 2019
I can’t stop thinking about that tweet saying Portrait Of A Lady On Fire is what happens when women are left alone on an island, and The Lighthouse is what happens when men are left to their own devices.
