A truly great film! It beautifully connects the personal to the universal, and I absolutely love the humoristic tone. I can’t wait to watch it again!

I didn’t like the film because of the clichéd ways of depicting the refugees and feelings regarding missing home. For me, the film was really superficial, and I think it appeals mainly to the Western audience. Politically, it was overly simplistic to blame everything on Assad and not consider the bigger picture of the resistance of the people of Rojava. I watched it at Berlinale.

Another one of those films that makes big claims but has nothing to offer! A shallow, safe critique of capitalist systems that wins awards and prizes from those very systems!
