I think this is one of the strongest Fosse-directed movies that benefits from instead of being consumed by his neurosis. It's a bit hard to evaluate this movie on it's own merits when I have so much familiarity with various revivals of the stage show (and for example prefer the B-Couple in the stage show to the one in this movie), so I'm not really going to bother too much with that.

This is a film with thoroughly insane dialogue that had me repeating multiple lines out loud with my friends. Plot was similarly batshit, which was very fun -- the concept of the ex-Presidents the surfing and bank robbing gang was really 10/10 awesome. Lost me a bit with the poorly developed love interest and other elements as the film went on!
Hedwig and the Angry Inch stage show has been one of my favorite broadway musicals since I first saw it when I was sixteen. Finally watching the film was such a treat and really meant a lot to me
