Austenland 2013
Rewatched the next day, considering reviews I have read of it. Interesting to look at themes of desire, shame, and how we tell our own stories. There’s a camp aesthetic to this movie that I find missing from a lot of romcoms - I want the romance and I want to make fun of myself for wanting the romance but then I want to enjoy it too.
