Living in Oblivion 1995
This film was visually stunning of the jump. The switch back and forth from Black and White to color was a great addition to add confusion to the big twist of the film. Without spoilers, I think it uses the common motif of the film very well at first, but as the story goes on, it lacks direction and the same novelty that drew me in initially. This film is hilarious and realistic and provides us with some truly fantastic scenes from the main two actors. Definitely will be rewatching!

Dog Day Afternoon 1975
This film was riveting from start to finish as someone who did not know of the real situation the film was based on. Al Pacino had a great performance as a surprisingly well-rounded queer character as we see the devolvement of his motives across the course of the movie. One of my favorite moments was the famously improvised scene where he was riling up the crowd, calling for the hatred of NYPD and justice for the people of New York. This movie is raw, realistic, and truly a must-watch from Sidney Lumet's extensive catalog of directing.

Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Finally got around to watching this movie and wow it did live up to its praises. This is an example of a movie taking the multiverse concept and executing on it perfectly. So many relationships are tested within this film and it’s beautiful to see how characters progress and grow across the timelines. 4.5/5 stars, jamie lee curtis did not deserve that oscar!
