  Good premise setup and solid elevations are presented in style. Emotions worked out but they're not strong. Better villain conflict and more emotional depth could've made the film better. Movie was not boring anywhere but not new as well, I'm actually confused about how I felt overall movie is. I would say 2.75 not a solid 3

  This feels like a common serial killer story but a scary retro vibe is maintained throughout the movie. As this story is based on real life murders in Hwaseong, it actually feels very realistic about the investigation and the characters. Both lead actors are phenomenal in their role, they make you feel their emotions and their character development are shown in a creative way. The music is good and the pacing might seem slow but I think it's perfect for the story. This ending is one of the unique ones that you'll see, it makes you really think.
