Timothée Chalamet transformed
Director James Mangold stayed true to the standard of the biopic movie genre while giving the opportunity to the audience to dig deep in the psychology of one the most influential musicians of the 20th century.
Biopics are difficult to make interesting and new, even if the characters themselves are, and while Mangold did a terrific job in his storytelling, the movie is almost completely carried by Chalamet’s performance who broke free of his traditional roles.
