If you described this one to me it would sound amazing. As it is, the pieces never come together in quite enough of a satisfying way, leaving us with a competently made, above-average Ultra film.
I can’t be too upset what with how many slo-mo shots there are of Blazar getting tossed into huge buildings, I’m easy to please.
Fails to match show’s consistently innovative highs, especially in light of the clip shows at the beginning and end reminding you of the series’ superior episodes (the insurance salesman story aaaah).
A better design for the movie’s kaiju could have helped. Cute ending, credits song goes hard.
