How tf did this win so many Oscars? The accolades are undeserved. If Baker was attempting a “character study” of sex workers, he forgot to add the bit where they’re actual human beings with multifaceted interests and identities. And the so-called comic relief is meant to be found in a “not all men” flavor assault scene? Gross, dude.
The only redeeming quality about this film is its cinematography. But please, Academy, keep stroking the egos of fragile little white boys with absolutely nothing to say. 🙄
