Maybe nothing really matters. But therefore everything matters. EEAAO digs to the core of nihilism and existentialism - how do we respond to feelings of meaninglessness and the absurd? Do we simply give up? The film rejects this approach, mirroring Camus's philosophy in The Myth of Sisyphus - we must embrace the absurd, as only then are we free to give life its own meaning. And we can do this through kindness, love, and connection. Existence may be meaningless, but our relationships aren't. Our emotions aren't. Our experiences aren't. And that's enough.
