  Incredibly by the numbers story, characters and direction that is kind of held up by some genuinely creative fight scenes. The one gimmick of the movie does get a bit tiring though, and there were way too many plot conveniences.

  After seeing this and Possession I think we should force every filmmaker to make a horror movie after a divorce. The most disturbed, pessimistic, and probably most conventionally scary Cronenberg I've seen so far.

  The internal is externalized in the most horrific way possible, which is probably the most accurate description I could give for any Cronenberg film.
