Alien: Romulus 2024
If I ever need to demonstrate the difference between an homage and an Easter egg, I’m glad this movie exists. As much as I like all the alien stuff (creatures design, green text, evil corporations) this does nothing to explore the themes or build on the lore that makes this franchise special. The greatest hits album with the deep cuts no one asked for.
