Some of the best uses of shadows I’ve ever seen. Absolutely love the way some of the shots are framed where you can see the entirety of the bedroom or the basement surrounded by this empty void like the whole scene is being crushed and squeezed of its air. Feels like you’re watching an elaborate shadow puppet play at times. Powell becomes less a man and more a looming ominous silhouette that’s always just about to snatch up everyone else…

incredible third act bout between jackie and brad allan of course, but I wasn’t expecting how endearing and cute the supporting cast and their relationships would be, especially the little moments with ah bu’s parents. What’s more romantic than someone loving you even while you’re ugly napping?
