    How many different types of groans can Barry Keoghan do in 105 mins? Honestly a very missable film - beautiful Irish scenery and Colm Meaney is great but apart from that I got very little from this.

    At first I wasn’t into the bright colour palette and slightly clunky script, but the second half was so touching, funny and heartbreaking all at once. 

    I also wanna play the imaginary conversation game on unsuspecting members of the public

    On rewatching after a few years, I am seeing this film in completely different light.

    Wright’s overt allegory of a perceived fall from grace that the British countryside and people have suffered didn’t sit well from the get go. It immediately codified the countryside and “British” people as being “born of the land” and visually almost exclusively naked, prancing paganish white folks.  The film was punctuated with various titles, and immediately after “Utopia” popped up, a naked white woman dancing…
