  Nicholas Cage? Awesome. Really cool seeing him in his element again (or for the first time, really). He really showed his chops.

  The tone of the film was great. The script was weird and awkward but in a good, unsettling way. The performances from ole girl and her mother were really convincing and unique as well. Less was more.

  Finally, a film I can say I was pretentious enough to enjoy. 

  In all seriousness, Possessor is a smart and intricate Black-Mirror-esque film. At no point in the movie can you really say, “I know where this is going.” Matter of fact, the film is so jarring, dark and intense at times that you’re not thinking at all— instead, you’ll find yourself squeezing your cheeks together, hand over mouth, eyes glued to the screen. It’s commentary on humanity, morality, capitalism…
