  wow. every frame of this film is dripping with empathy and love and humanity. i found myself getting extremely emotional in even the most mundane scenes.

  there are moments where inmates wander the grassy hills and look out over the trees and the ocean and the illusion of freedom is almost convincing, but just as quickly you are thrust into the incomparable pain and hopelessness of barbed wire fences, personal spaces torn apart by uncaring guards, and the cold distance…

  idk man this one really touched me. i feel like it met me where i’m at now and at the artist i want to become. there’s been so much media about the effects of fame and popularity on art, but this is just so raw and honest and about one of the greatest artists to ever do it and it really made me think. true art always costs you something, and i want to be intentional about the sacrifices i’m willing to make to create what i want to create. timmy, you fucking killed it.
