A classic feel-good comedy that comes off as unpretentious as it can be. Thanks to Jay Baruchel‘s unwavering yet sincere performance, I found myself riding out the same emotional rollercoaster that he was on. Script felt natural, pacing was just right - and sure, the cliches of any decent romcom can also be found here - but what sets this movie apart is the moral it teaches us about self esteem. Whether you’re single, or in a relationship; whether you think you’re good looking or not so good looking, give this movie a watch. You might just come away with a better mindset.

Terrifying. Cerebral. Mesmerising. This is not a film you should watch in passing. Nor should you try to figure every little thing out as it happens. The camerawork was simply genius and some scenes serve as a great metaphor of how the story is to unfold. I found myself being rattled over and over again, but found reminding myself of the perspective I should be taking. Also loved the natural flow of the story; there aren't any antagonists or protagonists…
