Someone should tell Miyazaki that the story arc of
“faction of men fights other faction of men* whilst one of the factions also desecrates the local forest, unleashing the rage and vengeance of the forest’s mythical company, whom then desecrates the land of the men* via a great showing of nature’s power and reclaims the land for the forest”
was already utilized by Tolkien in the 50s
*men may or may not be synonymous with “wizard/Uruk-hai alliance”
Better late than never —

2. ryan gosling bleeds profusely and persistently
3. sometimes we have to accept that we are not special and we might just be an average “joe” (although i’m sure getting that much attention from Ana de Armas makes you feel anything other than average)
Be sure to watch this alone. Having anyone else in the room entirely destroys the intimacy that this series so well cultivates
