  It’s not often that I watch a horror film (or a film of any genre whatsoever) and I feel as if it is being confrontational toward me. Note: I mean this in the best way humanly possible. Talk To Me gets in your face, pushes you down on the ground, spits on you, and taunts you endlessly. AGAIN…I mean that as the highest praise possible.

  I had really wanted to read the source material prior to seeing this masterpiece of film; but, like with most of Scorsese’s cinematic adaptations of books…I ended up letting him tell HIS VERSION of the story first and I dug back into the source text later. Which I’m fine with. I generally prefer the Marty version anyway. I’d rather live in his version of “reality” than anywhere else.
