“Who are you?”
I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this since I first watched it. It’s honestly taken some will to not let it permeate my everyday routine.

The Beyond 1981
Second Fulci movie! A plot of loose feverish happenings. Solid acting, an outstanding soundtrack, and some top tier gore moments. NOT a good movie to watch when you have a concussion
That church scene was sick though. One of my favorite action scenes I think I’ve ever seen. The fight scenes in general are shot so interestingly. Pretty close but never confusing or unfocused. Every punch kick and stab feels so visceral and real, I swear I could feel it in my teeth.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
“Your mother ate my dog!”
“Well, not all of it”
“I KICK ASS FOR THE LORD”
“Party’s over!”A bizarre fever dream with unbelievable practical effects. Timothy Balme with the lawnmower, the park scene with the monster baby, the priest’s Kung Fu. A perfect horror gore classic. All so wonderfully absurd. Probably can never look at pudding again.
Edit:
I forgot to mention the stop motion rat monkey creature. This movie checks all my boxes.Translated from by
