Silence 2016
Can I give it 6 stars? This might be the best movie I’ve ever seen. It leaves plenty of room for interpretation and I feel as if I’ll have to watch it multiple times to fully dissect some of it. After a few days of reflection, I am left to conclude that Father Rodrigues/Ferreira most certainly renounced their faith, which was heartbreaking and tragic. This movie only further gives me appreciation and inspiration for the countless martyrs, both known and unknown, who have courageously defended our Lord.

The Passion of the Christ 2004
Forever changed my reality on what Christ’s suffering actually looked like so Mel Gibson deserves credit for what I’m sure has been a lasting imagine for many others as well. My only critiques are that some of the cinematography felt outdated and I thought the apostle John was played as being too passive.
