    - Fantastic concept- just my cup of tea
    -some great suspense

    -execution was meh at times
    - visually looked horrible

    - this is the type of thing you remake in a couple decades; a fantastic idea that can be executed at a far higher level

-that being said I really enjoyed this

    So damn good.

    Loved:
    - The old cop and young cop who teach each other something, although one not enough. It’s an exploration of phases of life and character as much as a thriller.

    - what a fantastic thriller it is… a formidable and twisted killer, great actions, and multiple moments where I realized I was holding my breath.

    - outlandish plot contrivances be damned. This is phenomenal

    - so bold and definite in its style and choices

A masterpiece that gets better each time it’s watched. Riveting, contradicting, and laced with meaning. Makes a statement but still allows for an independent opinion to be made.

It makes me want to leave silently and applaud simultaneously.

Ps. I’ll never forget the silence during the credits, especially the first time I watched in the packed opening night.

Pps. Watching in 70mm imax on the second biggest imax screen in the US elevated this. It was more horrifying and  the drama deeper.

Pps. I can see 2001 in Nolan’s direction of this.

    Spoilers.

    They fucking got me.

    Couldn’t look away- always interesting.

    Multiple twists.

The gloves were my favorite sting, until the next.
