  I don't really remember this being released. I expected more, being that it's Luc Besson, but I can't complain, all in all. It was just alright, to me. It's a bit quirkier than your typical mob movie, with that Luc Besson flavor, but just not near his normal level of brilliance. Starts out a bit slow, but then it picks up a bit. Sweet cast. 6/10 (Netflix)

  Watching one of my favorites tonight!

  I was 9 when I saw this in the theater, and it scared the shit outta me, but I LOVED it! I think it's one of the first movies that had me see how exhilarating it could feel to watch a scary movie (for a 9 yr old, at least). I've since owned it in every format, and have watched it countless times. I love the mystery, the magic, and the romance of it.…

  I love this movie! I know it's cheesy as all hell, and the early CG are hysterically bad, but it's still awesome. Also I had such a crush on Noah Hathaway when I was a kid, particularly as Atreyu (obvi), but also in this. I told him so when I met him, and he got beet red. He was modest, bashful, and sweet. This whole cast is great. For some reason, I've had the theme music in my head lately which is a bit crazy-making. 😁
