Parasite 2019
Phenomenal piece of filmmaking and everybody needs to see it. It’s thought-provoking, suspenseful and often quite hilarious and a perfect blend of all these things is all you can ask for. Parasite truly leaves you yearning for what comes next, and it’s never what you expect. Quite rightly deserved film of the year. Bong-Joon Ho spectacularly sends a clear message about the realities of class division.

Knives Out 2019
This star-studded cast give us the best ‘whodunnit’ in recent years. A detailed plot, well thought out twists and turns and social commentary help make this one of the top 10 movies of 2019. Ana de Armas gets to show her range, Daniel Craig shows his greatness in a role he actually enjoys, Jamie Lee Curtis is a powerhouse throughout and Chris Evans steals the show.

Uncut Gems 2019
Thrilling. A whirlwind from start to finish headed by Adam Sandler in his best role to date.
This panic inducing film is one for the ages but will divide opinion. The score is relentless and so are all the troubles our protagonist is made to face. Such is the quality of Sandler’s performance, you find yourself secretly fist pumping every time Howard, the scumbag to end all scumbags, gets a win. The ending left me at a loss for words... it randomly popped up in my head the day after and the resounding thought was... WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT.Translated from by -
Requiem for a Dream 2000
Watched this again for the first time in 4 years.
Tragic. Haunting. Gruesome.
Hard to call this a “favourite” because of the content but will always be on the list of my top rated feature films. Impeccable work.
I’ll do a full review one day....
