  I think this movie will always hold a special place in my heart now. Before today, I had never cried to a movie (excluding Toy Story 3 when I was 4, don’t think that counts). Every tearjerker romance film I have seen beforehand never got to me, but this one did. This is to me one of the best examples of love in film.

  There are so many things about this movie that are just so perfect. I personally believe if this movie wasn’t released in either the late 60s or early 70s as it did, it would never have been this good. 

  Gene Wilder is just incredible at this movie. I can’t imagine anyone else as him. He’s cynical, yet sweet, funny, yet terrifying. 

  Side note: Watch this movie once and replace all the chocolate with cocaine.
