Very refreshing to watch a film where I was complaining about the insanity of timings, decisions and actions rather than simply the competency of putting together an effective film.

Where has the simple action thriller gone?

Also, this was truly made during the peak of nineties culture. I couldn't believe there was a world where films with this concept, setting, premise and tone were made.

I left it a while before I reviewed this and it's made me realise this was pretty forgettable.

I liked the printer machine having the mechanical actions of an inkjet printer 👍

Can't get over how good the opening sequence to this film is. What it tells you, what it leaves you questioning... It's so fun.

Twenty minutes in or so and Morpheus is asking Neo "Do you want to know what the Matrix is?". This was the moment where I noticed how much the film still grips me. I've seen it so many times but still felt the excitement: Yes Morpheus, I do!

Importantly there's not too much fuss over lore,…

    Every shot looks shit.

The first obscenely long action squence that opens the film leaps straight into dull insanity as if our main character is a super hero.

Then it turns into an episode of Dr Who but I am not forgiving of it looking shite because it's not a single BBC TV episode.

So, Crystal Skull was outstanding, actually, in comparison to this.

Gimli is a loser for his reprisal of a shit role, sorry.
