  Imagine a world where our approach to VFX and digital ingenuity took more influence from works like these and similar 2000s contemporaries than overstretched attempts at realism. 

  What a wonderful world that would have been. 

  Fun to see a lot of Austin talent’s names in the credits.

  Wonderfully-executed restraint throughout the entire film- the result is effortlessly stylish while cruelly efficient, this is the standard that I aspire to reach. Bleakly hilarious.

  Also features an elite dynamic framing and production design package- really understated, cohesive language.

  My brother and I drove home in silence. Chazelle goes 4 for 4. Still need a minute to unpack it all but yeah. Quiet on Set to the dammed HEAVENS.
  They did become part of something bigger than themselves after all. Only in the most magical place on Earth.
