Finalllly got to rewatch this and it's even better than I remembered.
I love the score so so much it's so peaceful and light and moving which is such a strong contrast but also somehow a perfect match to the events happening on screen. Just puts you in such a false sense of security.
This movie is also such a good reminder to dump your shitty boyfriend
First half was amazing but it kinda lost me in the second half
Absolutely amazing. I was on the edge of my seat for most of this film. Luca Guadagnino really saw the most boring sport and said "I can make this the most thrilling thing you've ever seen just give me some gay tension and a techno score"
Also Zendaya gives such a restrained and yet unhinged performance and just is such a powerhouse over these two men.
I cried so hard during this movie. Like actual weeping.
It is so beautiful.
The themes about family, connection, love, loss and loneliness are explired with such feeling and the character of Marcel is so sweet, kind, inquisitive and adventurous.
Just a stunning film to watch, especially if ur feeling abit vulnerable and just want to really ~Feel~ something.
