Black Dog 2024
this film reminded me of an also stoic, often silent ex of mine who had a dog whom he loved, like really loved, long before we dated. you could tell from the way his face would light up when talking about the dog. sadly the dog died in a choking accident, a ball caught in the throat. this ex had experienced a disproportionate amount of grief and loss in his life, and still the death of his dog seemed to be a very significant one. love is just the exchange of care and warmth with another, isn’t it
