this is the least accurate adaptation of Northanger Abbey ever written. it is implausible and inexplicable and absurd, and I love it so very much. why is there so much synth and fog machines? why is there an inexplicable kid doing cartwheels? why does Henry look like he's about two seconds away from murdering Catherine at any given moment? Who knows? The writers were tripping balls, and I love that for them!
