  Snow White 2025

  A modernised, fleshed-out take on the classic story. Not sure it was needed, and not sure any of the new songs will ever reach the heights of Hi Ho! or Whistle While You Work, but it was sweet. Rachel Zegler was fantastic, Gal Gadot was a bit wooden but certainly looked the part.

  Man, Pattinson can act! I didn’t even need numbers to tell 17 from 18, it was right there in the width of his eyes and the curl of his lip. 
  This is definitely going to be an enduring classic. I’m calling it.

  Really good meditation on grief and loss masquerading as a horror movie. Loses a star for the kid’s terrible acting, and half a star for its decent into cliched horror movie tropes and over simplistic ending.
