Wow okay this was heavy. As someone who has experienced a sliver of what Aza feels, I thought the portrayal of OCD, anxiety and mind spiraling was done so well. You really felt it with her during those scenes.
The scene with her therapist where she didn’t want to take medication because then it wouldn’t be truly her own mind anymore, pained me so much. Sigh. Also her dad said “you’re right to worry. The world is worrisome.” Omg no!!!…

We watched the extended version tonight and I had a grand ole time of course.
I always love the extra content but I feel like I prefer the theatrical release for this movie. EXCEPT, I would add back in the scene with Aragorn taming Brego. I never even realized that’s the horse that ends up saving him. And this scene makes Eowyn (and let’s be honest, us too) fall in love with him even more.
I also thought the disgusting soup scene was hilarious and Eowyn learns that he’s 87 years old and one of the dunedain.
Okay, let’s just keep any scene with Aragorn hahhaa.
