Almost gave this 3.5 stars for fear of what the people would think, but who even ARE the people and what are they doing on my letterboxd?

Comically bad, and also just comical.
At its best when it was joyfully aware of itself, though at times it seemed stuck between wanting to be genuine and accepting itself for the gimmick it was.
Having the father-son relationship at its center was I guess necessary? But empty.

Predictable and entertaining.
When Patrick was revealed to be a robot, everyone in the theater gasped except ME.
Too much beating up Iris, too many false endings. Chekhov’s corkscrew. I appreciated all the allusions to Iris being a robot in the beginning, but what did turning her intelligence up to 100% buy her? She seemed the same level of smart as 40%. Messaging got heavy-handed toward the end.
