  Monkey Man allowed me to connect with my Hindu roots in ways I didn’t before. Mahabharata is the classic story of good over evil, but many do not engage with Hanuman. We worship him, but we often forget what his character arc was before he became a God.

  For me, one scene personally caught my eye. It was the close-up of the puppet re-enactment. I have been to a live showing of this same story and it really connected mythology…

  Holy shit wow Coop takes a cliched storyline and makes it feel so raw - like I was reliving parts of college, the ups and downs and the awkwardness of new things

  I personally know the film writer, director and lead role. He won the top award at SXSW and is a super funny, lovable guy. Just for that, I’m excited to watch it!
