  As a music history nerd this was well done. Folk for peace and hope is what sells, specially given the political context of the civil rights movement, Malcom X being shot dead, etc. The struggle many artists face is playing merely what sells.   Delusion, loosing your autonomy, defending your autonomy, saying what is right as a woman, numbness, pain, all mixed in a fiasco of assault and micro aggression. This movie surely stressed me out and really didn’t make me laugh a bit. This shouldn’t be a “comedy” @ male director. Lost it when his dad laughed at Anora when removing luxurious clothes. Soooo much anger- she is a woman and respect her. Overall 4.5 stars - this was so human and filled me with so much anger. That’s what cinema should do
