  The camera as if, has a soul of its own. It delivers the most mesmerizing and imaginative camera movements, which at some times feels a little too much but never fails to impress me. The language is sort of medieval, yet feels fresh. The atmosphere! The atmosphere of an old folklore is perfectly created by the director, actors and the crew. It pays homage to it's closest (essentially) predecessor that is Murnau's Nosferatu, in ways that would feel corny and…

  As one character in the film said on the TV that, (I'm paraphrasing here)

  "A writer killing her husband is more interesting than a teacher killing himself"

  That itself says a lot about how we perceive mental health and what I think the film is trying to say. Everything is sensational, everything is entertainment, everything is a performance for us to consume, we are so conditioned to perceive everything as drama we can't accept a simpler explanation
