An Alia Bhatt tour de force. In an era of fading stars and hollow ai generated cinema, she is one of one. The torch has been passed, the weight is on her shoulders once again. Vasan Bala finds his least referential film nerd story, where even the references act as character traits. Satya, is stoic and yet there's a storm brewing inside her - one that is portrayed to perfection. A tight script that only loses its way slightly in the second half, but the foot stays on the pedal mostly. A standout in a bleak year. Bacchan banna hai indeed.
