  This was so fun. I think Wes has strayed too far from plots where people like Anthony try to win over people like Inez and that is pretty much the whole story. I love the Wes protagonists that can be so stupid and annoying but learn to love themselves in the end. It always feels so sweet and earned.

  I watched The Zone of Interest on a plane and it actually kind of enhanced the experience. Between the screaming baby behind me and the dull roar of the plane I couldn't tell what sounds were coming from the movie and what sounds were happening to me. I found myself in a sonic hellscape!
  This is one of the few WW2/Holocaust films that doesn't glorify the violence because it doesn't show it. Saying anything about it almost risks trivializing it. I couldn't sleep last night and the screams from this movie kept playing in my head. The Zone of Interest is pure horror.

  I first watched this movie with one of my roommates when I was 18 and we both loved it so much! 2001 is one of the first movies that helped me realize I didn't care if a movie had a resolution or even if it told a story.
