Transformers One 2024
Thank god they god rid of cool iconic voices in place of average boring ones, what a great time for voice acting. Jordan Peele killed every scene he was in! As in he actively ruined every scene he got voice lines in. I know it was probably a script issue but this was just what transformers needed, a stupid obnoxious comedic relief character who broke any hint of dramatic tension.

I don’t understand why this movie is getting so much love apart from the gay representation. This movie was endlessly frustration because the only way they could get the plot to happen was to make every character completely incapable of communicating even remotely effectively. Either the characters that need to speak are separated from each other or the character speak in ways that are easily miss understood or they just play the pronoun game so that nothing gets accomplished. I’ve literally never hated a movie more in my entire life. Seriously. A slow burn implies that it had any intensity at all. Ever wanted to be simultaneously very bummed and so bored that you became angry? This film… so much passionate hatred. Bo Burnham: Inside 2021
Loved the first half, clever songs that were very funny. Last half was watching a man go through a complete mental breakdown while making jokes about it and I was not the better after watching it. Made me sad and made me spiral a bit. I recommend the first half but unless you find serious mental illness funny, I’d call it quits there.
