It just doesn't quite come together unfortunately; I desperately wanted to like this film more than I did. Willem Dafoe and Ralph Ineson carry it performance-wise, and there's some beautiful cinematography and costume & set design. However, I feel like Eastern European bohemia is leaned into a little too much, when at the crux of it, Nosferatu should be a gothic vampire story. There wasn't enough of the latter.

Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 1999
For all of it's flaws, (namely the outdated CGI, young Anakin's painstaking performance at times, and Jar Jar Binks's constant "comic relief"), the Phantom Menace on the big screen slaps.
Honourable mentions to:
• Liam Neeson's performance
• Duel of the Fates
• Queen Amidala's costume design
• Pod racing fun and it's sound designTranslated from by -
