It’s hard to go into this movie with realistic expectations considering the triumph that was Bong Joon Ho’s prior film Parasite. After seeing Mickey 17, I would recommend going into the viewing with a clear mind because it is much similar to Ho’s earlier, lighthearted sci-fi thriller Okja. This is the type of movie that a film school student would salivate over. As much as I loved Anora and Sean Baker’s direction,…

This movie makes me want to stop everything I’m doing, quit my 9-5 job, got on a bus headed west and just start writing. Absolutely inspirational screenplay by Crowe and one of the most proficient coming-of-age stories from the past 30 years.
