Terrifically trippy, and weirdly racist nonsense
This movie genuinely suggested to children in 2001 that ALL Irish people are actually leprechauns
The final song being “This Land is Your land” sung by the protagonist really got me. I thought I had seen everything, and they sent me off with possibly the most unexpected music number imaginable.
How is it that I remember nearly every DCOM from this era, but somehow I blocked this gem from my memory? I can’t decide if I have a new favorite on my hands, or if this movie is just cursed.
