  Without previously having any knowledge of what the movie was about, I completely expected it to be a comedy solely on the fact that Jim Carrey starred in it. Carrey is known for his goofy, comedic roles in movies such as The Grinch, Dumb and Dumber, and Mr. Popper’s Penguins, however he left this style of acting to play a much more serious, and almost shy character (especially how he is portrayed in the first few minutes of the movie).…

  Hacksaw Ridge was requested to me and described as being the best war movie there is. Although I did find the movie to be very good, mostly because of the miraculous story it is telling, I cannot confidently say it is the best I have ever seen.
