Mickey 17 2025
Did not live up to expectations. This movie incorporates themes of death, the philosophical ambiguity behind what constitutes “you”, ethicality of human printing (cloning), colonialism, and how the extremities of capitalism can create a dystopia. But, personally, it did not unpack any of these key themes in a profound and meaningful way. Left the theater wanting more. If anything, the conspicuously unexplored questions and concepts made the movie drag, and it was not nearly as thought-provoking as I hoped.
